7 Simple Actions to Help Birds

A study*, published September 2019 in the journal Science, found that the population of breeding birds in the US and Canada has dropped by nearly 30% (or 3 billion birds) since 1970.

You can help!  Make these seven simple, but effective habits part of your day-to-day life to make a difference for birds around the world.


1) Drink shade-grown coffee

2) Reduce plastic use

3) Take part in citizen science

4) Make windows safer - at home and in cities

5) Keep cats indoors

6) Plant native plants

7) Avoid pesticides
